Police responding to reports of a possibly intoxicated man causing a disturbance found Gregory Pitts, of Stafford, near Belle Plains Road around 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, County Sheriff David Decatur said.
Holding a half-empy can of Miller High Life, Pitts had slurred speech and a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath, police said.
That would not be the worst thing deputies observed as he talked.
While chatting with deputies, Pitts proceeded to expose himself and urinate. After nature’s call was answered, he was placed in handcuffs.
Pitts then became belligerent, screamed multiple profanities, and advised he was going to “knock” the jaw off of deputies.
His less than cooperative behavior continued in front of the magistrate, as he was charged with public intoxication, indecent exposure, and obstruction of justice.
Pitts was held at Rappahannock Regional jail pending his ability to participate in a bond hearing.
